Anyone can be a ‘Friend of Woodside School’. The group is made up of parents, carers, grandparents, family members and people from our community – everyone is welcome! We work together supporting the school, teachers and the children. Whether you have 1 hour or 3 hours, every day or once in a while, whatever you can do all helps. Here are just some of the ways you can help:
- Listening to children read
- Helping with cooking sessions
- General help with projects like cutting out things etc.
- Trips – We always need lots of volunteers to make school trips possible – please ask your child’s teacher about helping.
After school clubs are a fantastic addition to the school day. We are always looking to support and extend the range of activities available. Helping at a club may mean that we can increase the number of children who are able to attend. You may even have an idea or skill which could be used to start a new club. We would love to hear from you.
Funds raised by FOWS help to fund:
- IT equipment
- School visits
- Homework diaries
- And much more!
